My name is Hollie, and I am a photographer, artist, and designer, keen to use an experimental approach towards my work. I am an advocate of abstract art, particularly enthusiastic, influenced, and inspired by anything weird and wonderful!
I developed a passion for Art and Design during my secondary school studies. I enjoyed having the ability to express myself through the art I was creating, which later lead me to the artistic medium of photography. I was inspired to further my education to Degree level, to gain the relevant experience, knowledge, and qualifications in the arts, to drive myself along my creative journey.
I am particularly fond of shooting portraits and landscape photographs. The phrase 'an image can speak a thousand words' resonates with me in such a way because I believe images are open to interpretation to whomever they are perceived by. That being said, whilst my bodies of work may have been created with a particular concept in mind, it is my hope that my work will allow me to connect with people in ways that words can't, and above all, encourage a passion for creativity.
In addition to being a University of Brighton graduate, in the past, I operated on a part-time basis within a small collective of photographers called F/S Event Photography, covering events across the South East, such as the Hastings Beer and Music Festival and the Hastings Storytelling Festival.
My most recent work has included designing digital/printed product and promotional material, and social media marketing on a freelance basis.
I make a constant effort to communicate my passion for creativity throughout my work, and continuously strive to fulfil opportunities, for both professional and personal growth as an artist.
